At Hope Anew, we offer nature-based soul-care and self-care, depending on what area you want to focus on in your life.

Restorative Coaching

This is a unique approach to coaching that is focused on restoring connection and alignment in your life. Based on the belief that we all carry within us the wisdom needed to thrive, this coaching process focuses on helping you listen to your own voice.

Your Restorative Coach, Jamie, interweaves her years of experience in the social work field, her trauma-informed training for equine-assisted learning, and her life coaching certification to be a supportive space-holder and gentle partner on your journey. You will not find her telling you what to do, but she will ask questions from a place of curiousity.

The Difference between Coaching + Counseling

This is not therapy. The best way I have heard the difference described is: “Counseling is to help get from survival to baseline and coaching is to help people get from baseline to thriving.” Yes, coaching will benefit your mental health, but cannot specifically address mental health issues.

What we will NOT do…

  • Discuss your past in depth

  • Diagnose mental health issues

  • Spend the whole time time talking

What we WILL do…

  • Check in with how you come today

  • Practice skills such as breathing and mindfulness

  • Determine work for in between sessions

Life is not fully lived, my beloved, until you have freed your heart from hiding.
— Sarah Blondin, Heart Minded

“Office” Settings and Session Rhythm

Your Restorative Coaching session will be 1-hour. It is up to you how frequently you come, but what is important is that you set a regular rhythm for your sessions. Whether that is weekly, every other week, or once a month. Sessions can take place in our office, for your convenience or when the weather is not ideal. Ideally, at least some of your sessions will be nature-based on our land in Zanesfield, OH. In the spring, we will also be able to do sessions at the barn and include our horses in your sessions (read more below).

Is Restorative Coaching for you?

Ideal for adult men and women …

  • Exploring a career or location change

  • Needing a space for self-expression and personal growth

  • In a season of transition

  • Experiencing loss of identity/purpose

  • In need of self-care routine due to high levels of stress

Restorative Coaching is not for everyone. But if you find yourself in the list above or drawn to what has been described, you should consider scheduling a session today. Trust the process of slowing down and showing up. And know that you will be welcomed however you come.

We know the woods will welcome you exactly as you are, and we will too. Come curious, come open, come seeking.

Typically spiritual direction sessions happen on a monthly rhythm. Start your rhythm today.

Restorative Coaching with Horses (Coming Soon)

Horses are wonderful partners in the coaching process. At Hope Anew, you have the choice to invite horses in your coaching session, and here are a few reasons why you may want to do that.

1. Connection. For many people, horses are easier to connect with than humans.

2. Honesty. Incapable of wearing masks, horses invite us to be the authentic too.

3. Experiential. Rather than sitting in an office, you’ll be out at the barn, engaging with another living being, as well as all of your senses.

The Natural Lifemanship model of equine-assisted learning is trauma-informed and based 100% on relationship. All sessions take place on the ground, where there is an equal opportunity for connection. Through buildling a relationship your equine parter, you will learn more about yourself and have the chance to practice new ways of being.

Restorative Coaching with Horses will be available starting in Spring 2022.

Personal Retreats

Come have some extended time in the woods and get away from it all for a while. Whether you’d like 3 hours (half-day), 6 hours (full-day), or overnight, we invite you to soak in solitude and nature.

We will work with you beforehand to customize a retreat that will meet you where you are. It will be a balance of guided time and time alone.

This is the perfect solution for self-care for all the challenges of living in a pandemic.

If you’re curious about what this might look like, send us an email. We are now booking 3-hour personal retreats!

All day and overnight retreats can be scheduled by request.
